THREE Graphics to grab for this week's newspaper!
These stories need visuals, you love to draw, let's make a deal!
Happy Monday Concordians,
This week we’ve got THREE graphics to give out to some talented artists (that’s you!) for our print issue coming out this coming week. If any of the articles below interest you and you’d like to claim one, shoot me (Carleen) an email at graphics@theconcordian.com ASAP to do so. Don’t hesitate to reach out as well if you have any questions, or ideas for visuals you’d like included in your student newspaper.
These graphics will be due back on Saturday, September 30th.
Title: The True Crime Genre - How much consumption is unhealthy?
Description: This article will focus on the psychology behind women finding comfort in true crime — is it bad for our mental health?
Suggestion: Two women in a blanket fort/sitting under a blanket at nighttime — one of them is shining a flashlight under her face and gesturing as though telling a story. (This one could have a lot of great visuals, though — be creative!)
Title: Purchasing Concert Tickets - Your Rights
Description: A reminder that The Consumer Protection Act prohibits any merchant from offering show tickets at a price higher than that set by the producer of the show or event. The article will include interviews of students’ experiences with Ticketmaster.
Suggestion: An old-timey usher (in the little hat) standing in front of a concert entrance, holding a long scroll that’s hitting the ground and rolling away — it reads things like “Service fee - $50, Facility charge - $75, Seat cleaning fee, Space fee, Existing fee” etc, etc.
Title: NFT’s - What happened?
Description: NFTs have fallen completely out of the limelight, but what lasting effects do they have on the arts and financial worlds?
Suggestion: Two androgenous, jacked/muscly figures squaring off, one with a nametag reading “NFTs” and the other reading “Screenshots”. (let’s make fun of NFTs)
Okay, that’s all for this print issue! Remember to email me at graphics@theconcordian.com to claim a graphic — Otherwise, if you’d like to be added to our list of graphics contributors, click here.
Take care, everyone!
