In this episode...

This episode’s host Aidan Raynor sits down with Donna Kahérakwas Goodleaf, Director of Decolonizing Curriculum and Pedagogy at Concordia University. She is joined by Sandra Gabriele, Vice-Provost, Innovation in Teaching & Learning.

This follows the university’s announcement that it’d be indigenizing its engineering program, which Goodleaf would have a hand in overseeing and implementing.

Reaching mainstream headlines and many online forums, Aidan chats with Goodleaf on what it truly means to indigenize a program and its implications.

Translation of Donna Goodleaf’s introduction:
Greetings! My name is Kahérakwas Donna Goodleaf. I am from the Turtle clan; and I am from the community of Kahnawake. And I am a citizen of the Kanien’kehá:ka nation, which is part of the Rotinonhsíon:ni Confederacy (commonly known as the Haudenosaunee Six Nations Confederacy).
