Concordia Stingers Women’s Hockey Banner Raising And Home Opener:
The Stingers’ women’s hockey team, who was crowned the 2022 U Sports women’s hockey champions, had a championship banner-raising ceremony on Oct. 30 before the home opener against the Bishop Gaiters.
The Stingers defeated the Gaiters 3-2 in regulation, and look to continue defending their title this season.
The Concordia Stingers Defeat The Nipissing Lakers 1-0 In Overtime:
The Stingers’ men’s hockey team faced off against the Nipissing Lakers and needed extra time to win the game as 44 shots in regulation weren’t enough.
It was forward Isiah Campbell who scored the game-winning goal for the Stingers. Goaltender Jordan Naylor had a 24-save shutout in his first game of the season.

Noteworthy stat of the week:
The Stingers’ men’s hockey team is on a hot start this season. The team extended its winning streak to four games, with an overall record of 6-2-0. The Stingers are also ranked second in the OUA East division, behind UQTR, and fourth in the OUA league.

Women’s basketball at 6 p.m. vs. Bishop’s University.
Men’s basketball at 8 p.m. vs. Bishop’s University.

Basketball doubleheader vs. McGill on Saturday, Nov. 12:
Women’s basketball at 2 p.m.
