Hola fellow Concordians,
Hope you guys are having a lovely day.
I feel like ever since November began it has turned into Christmas. I feel like Halloween was just yesterday.
This past week my sister and her boyfriend already put up all our Christmas decorations and I’m like “whoa slow down, it's not even mid-November yet.”
Anyway enough of my family’s shenanigans, I have some pretty cool events that are happening on campus next week.
OVERHEARD ON CAMPUS
So if you didn’t know, Movember is a charity event that occurs this month that brings awareness to men’s mental health initiatives.
JMo'SB, a subgroup of CASA cares, organized events happening all throughout the month of November to support Movember.
On Nov. 16, they are hosting a board game night at Reggie’s in the Hall Building at the downtown campus. The time is between 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
During that night Reggie’s will be serving a special Movember-themed drink, so keep an eye out for that.
Early-bird tickets go for $7.50 each and regular tickets go for $10 each. You can purchase the tickets through this link.
On Nov 18., in partnership with John Molson Women in Leadership, they are hosting an event called Healthy Minds, Healthy Lives. At this event, you can participate in a variety of stress-relieving activities like tote bag painting and decorating cupcakes.
This event is happening at the Hive Cafe at 1550 Boul. de Maisonneuve Ouest, Montreal, Quebec H3G 2E9. The time is between 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The tickets are selling for $10.45 each on EventBrite. You can purchase tickets through this link.
I hope you guys attend these events because they are great fundraising efforts for Movember.
That’s all for me folks,
Dalia
