Hello fellow Concordians,
It’s Dalia here, hope you have all had a lovely long weekend. I sure did, it was really nice to relax and recharge with my family.
Now back to business as usual, I wanted to bring you something that I heard was happening on campus Oct. 12 and 13.
OVERHEARD ON CAMPUS
Concordia’s EPIC used book giveaway is happening. I had the chance to visit on Wednesday, Oct. 12 and I am going to be pretty honest here, I had pretty high expectations.
When I arrived at Concordia's Hall building where they were having the book sale, there was already a line. The only conditions of the sale were the following:
Bring your Concordia ID
Bring a two-dollar donation
I had those in hand, along with my huge grocery store bag ready for all my books. You could walk out with 20 free books.
When I finally started going through the books, I started to realize that there was nothing from this decade on the table. It was all ’80s books. In my opinion, I was truly disappointed with the selection.
I recently started the Bridgerton series and I was on the hunt to find the other books and I found absolutely nothing.
I guess it's back to Indigo for me :-)
Anyway, on Thursday, Oct 13, the book sale is open to the general public. Wednesday gave priority to Concordia students.
I truly encourage everyone to go take a look and see what you might find.
(Maybe you’ll have better luck than me.)
In other news, can you guys believe it’s already mid-October? Seems like another semester is flying by.
If you are looking for something to do, our Assistant Photo Editor Kaitlynn Rodney put together an events list of what’s happening this month.

As always, if any one of you has the scoop on something interesting that’s happening on campus, don’t be afraid to send me an email: community@theconcordian.com.
Have a rest of the week,
