Hello Concordians!
It’s Dalia again. How is everyone’s weekend going?
I’m sure we are all feeling that end-of-semester rush, but at the same time, I think the fact that we had our first snowfall this week is a reminder that the holidays are just around the corner!
Speaking of winter, do you guys have your winter tires on?
Long story short, this week I am driving my boyfriend’s truck. It’s a Nissan XTerra and he doesn’t have his winter tires on.
When I was driving to work on Wednesday, I was so close to getting into an accident. His truck is way bigger than my small Nissan Juke. So I made sure to keep my distance but my truck was still slipping and I was so scared to crash into the pickup that was right in front of me.
Thankfully nothing happened and all is well :) This is definitely a big reminder to get the winter tires on earlier in November regardless if it's warm or not.
OVERHEARD ON CAMPUS
On Thursdays, there is the Nama-stay calm yoga event at Concordia. This is an all-levels yoga class happening in-person and online on Zoom.
The time is 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. and if you want to attend in person it is at Loyola campus. The address is 7141 Sherbrooke W.
For more information, please visit this link.
Off-campus, the Atwater Christmas market is starting Nov. 24 and is running up until Dec. 18.
This, in my opinion, is a must-see at Christmas time. It honestly feels like you step into a Hallmark Christmas movie.
Anyway, that’s all for me this week, please take care of yourselves and see you next week!
Dalia :)
