Top of the morning fellow Concordians,
As you can see, I am already in St. Paddy's day mood. I was at Winners yesterday and I found a pair of socks that had a four leaf clover on them, and another pair that had the word “lucky.”
Events of this week have been making me really feel lucky and appreciative for this life. The tragedy that happened in Laval this week to that daycare really put things into perspective.
This really shook me to my core. I am a Laval resident and this tragedy that happened in my neck of the woods, just freaked me out to be completely honest. Those poor kids were just playing in their room in the daycare when this horrific tragedy happened out of nowhere.
My thoughts are with the parents, kids and employees of the daycare. I want to offer my deepest sympathies. Things in life can change in an instant, every day might feel like an uphill battle to just make it through the week to get to the weekend. However, every moment we have on this Earth is precious. Tomorrow is not promised.
So make sure in the next few days to give an extra hug to your loved ones, do something nice for someone and don't forget to tell your loved ones “I love you.”
Now in our community here at Concordia, here’s what’s happening this week on campus.
OVERHEARD ON CAMPUS
On Tuesday, Feb. 14th, there is a Valentine’s Self-Love Meditation, Breathing, and Movement Class. This event will be hybrid so if you would like to join the event online you could, by clicking on this link. If you would like to join in person you can visit Le Gym at Concordia on the SGW campus.
This event is all about self-love and you can learn all about deep meditation. The event is happening from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Alrighty that’s all for me. Have a great week,
Dalia
