Hello lovely Concordians,
My name is Dalia, and I am a third-year Journalism student at Concordia. I’ll be your Community Editor at The Concordian for this upcoming year! I am super pumped to be a part of the team at The Concordian.
A little about me: I earned a degree in photography at Dawson College, so I am definitely a lover of the visual arts. I love attending photo galleries; the World Press Photo Exhibition (that’s still going on until Oct. 2) is one of my favourites!
Another thing about me is that I love everything that has to do with Montreal city life, I love to keep up with what’s happening around town. You’ll definitely find me at the more unique events around town, like the Corgi parade :)
In terms of what’s happening here at The Concordian, I recently had a podcast come out with our Podcast producer Cedric Gallant. I talked to students on campus about their diets, asking what they pack to keep themselves full and satisfied during a crazy packed day at school.
You can check it out here.
Last week in community, my story about Concordia’s first ever powwow came out.
Powwow: A home away from home
Check out my story here.
If you have a story idea about any cool event that’s happening on Campus, please don’t hesitate to send me an email at community@theconcordian.com.
*Keep an eye out next week for The Concordian’s second print issue, out on Oct. 6, 2022.
Have a great week,
Dalia
